Converge Day Treatment Center is a nonprofit agency, licensed day treatment center, and approved facility school under the oversight of the Department of Human Services and the Colorado Department of Education. We provide an intensive therapeutic day treatment program in a small group, structured educational setting for students in the Northeastern Colorado region.
Children placed in our full-day program will attend school at Converge full-time until they have met their goals and start transitioning back into the regular school setting. Students will attend school for the duration of the school year. Students will also attend a modified summer program for eight weeks in the summer as an extended-school year service.
Staff includes the program director/psychologist, two full-time special education teachers, teacher assistants, youth treatment counselors, paraprofessionals, a full-time clinical psychology intern from High Plains Psychology Internship Consortium two counseling interns and two school psychology doctoral candidates from the University of Northern Colorado. Students in this program are between the ages of 5 and 21.

Monica is a licensed psychologist and special education director with over 20 years of experience teaching, working as a school psychologist, and more recently, as a director. She opened Converge in 2014 to help meet the mental health needs of children in our community and throughout Northeastern Colorado.
Rick Agan grew up in Houston, TX and moved to Northeast Colorado after completing his Masters Degree in Human Development in 1998.

Sunnie has been working in facility settings for three years and loves every single minute of it. She is going into her 4th year of working in the mental health field with both children and adults.
Assistant Teacher for Secondary
Kelsey has been working in special education for 3 years. She has worked with students from the ages of preschool all the way up to seniors in high school. She has always had a big heart working with children with special needs.
Special Education Teacher
Darrin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Northern Colorado and a Masters degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. He has 11 years of teaching experience, with 6 of those years teaching at Kidz Ark of Sterling from 2006 to 2011.
Assistant Teacher for Elementary and Art
Amy has a passion for teaching and pouring into the lives of children. Amy has been a galleried artist, a children's book author, and an art teacher. She has also developed an art therapy program, taught all ages, and worked in multiple group homes and other venues with high needs children.
Assistant Teacher for Elementary and Drama
Corbin Albaugh (Mr. C) is the math, science, and drama teacher at Converge Day Treatment Center. He's a multi-disciplinary theatre artist from Santa Fe who has taught kids for over ten years. He's very happy to be a member of this fantastic team.
Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Denver and is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He has over 10 years of experience in music and a passion for teaching kids with special needs.
Coreen was homeschooled and worked in the pet industry for ten years before deciding to pursue her dream of working with children with special needs. She has received training in trauma informed care and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and now serves primarily as a classroom aid and behavioral specialist.
Lauren is a doctoral level Psychologist Intern with 10 years of experience working with children experiencing severe disruptive behaviors and mental health concerns. She holds a Bachelors in Psychology and in Human Services. She received her Masters in School Psychology in 2016 from the University of Missouri and is currently completing her Ph.D. in the field.

Kim holds a PhD in Behavioral Psychology with a specialization in Industrial Organizational (I/O) Psychology - she is a registered psychotherapist, a crime advocate, and the owner of Behavioral Therapy Services, LLC. Dr. Bell is also the director and founder of Bridge of Hope Christian Women's Center, Inc in Fort Morgan and a professor of graduate studies at the University of the People.

Nicole has 9 years of experience working with kids with emotional and behavioral challenges. Nicole is part of the behavior team here at Converge and enjoys watching the kids learn and grow.

Catrina has five years of experience working with kids with special needs. She is part of our Behavior team here at Converge. She has always had a passion working with children with special needs and enjoys watching and helping them reach their full potential.
Butch has been a private contractor for 8 years. He keeps everything working around Converge while keeping up with other contracts from TLM out of Tennessee and several other groundskeeping and maintenace contracts.
Aubrey Buettel is from Australia and is a retired pastor and construction worker. He works part-time at Converge as the custodian, making sure that the building is bright and clean each day for our students.
